Portfolio Manager

Te tūranga The role

The Portfolio Management team is the front office financial markets team here at Te Pūtea Matua and has an important role in a wide range of balance sheet management activities including the implementation of monetary policy and managing foreign reserves.

As a Portfolio Manager focussed on our Foreign Reserves you will play an important part in the teams asset allocation and transactional activities in international financial markets.

To succeed in this role you will bring:

  • Previous experience in a market facing role

  • Strong quantitative and data analysis capability

  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across varying levels of the organisation

  • The ability to show initiative and take an active approach to problem solving. Our portfolio managers are expected to be comfortable making decisions and proving strong advice under a variety of different scenarios

  • A collaborative approach and an inclusive communication style
