Were looking for a Quality Manager that will breathe safety quality and environmental excellence and play a central role in how we plan deliver and continuously improve our Major Project outcomes for clients and communities. Your main office can be based in either Auckland or Christchurch.

Flexibility to travel will be required across New Zealand to support some of the countrys largest and most complex infrastructure projects from highways and bridges to key transport and civil upgrades. Regularly visiting project sites nationwide to provide credible advice to our project teams and frontline crews across multiple major projects and collaborating with the wider Fulton Hogan NZ business and all levels of management.

Youll help set and maintain the quality standards that underpin our big jobs ensuring our systems and processes are embedded consistently from tender through to delivery. Using your strong people skills to build genuine long-term relationships with our subcontractor partners clients and our people were one big whānau will help us deliver complex work safely efficiently and to the high standard Fulton Hogan is known for.

In addition to the above you will:

  • Ensuring the implementation and consistent application of our systems plans policies initiatives and strategy within Major Projects.
  • Building trusting relationships to influence and collaborate on solutions.
  • Lead and support your team to deliver all aspects of their work managing team performance.
  • Providing frontline quality support advisory and coaching to site teams subcontractors & clients.
  • Ownership and delivery of quality specific events and initiatives.
  • Review and Lead Quality investigations.
  • Assisting in the development of site-specific Quality management plans & safety in-design methodology.

Were looking for someone with:

  • At least 8 years experience in leading a team in a quality management role in civil construction or similar high-risk industry.
  • Hold Bachelors degree in Engineering Quality Management is desirable
  • Solid knowledge of applicable acts ISO standards and regulations relating to quality compliance in civil construction activities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build trust and respect with a diverse workforce at all levels.
  • Strong coordination skills and ability to changes tasks while maintaining productivity.
  • Excellent problem solving and stress management skills.
  • Ability to gather and analyse data research compile information and prepare reports.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience with Microsoft Office suite & ability to learn new systems/applications.

This is a role that requires strong and credible quality leadership with a number of different day-to-day responsibilities so you must have the ability to manage multiple tasks working in both a re-active and pro-active environment.
