We are currently recruiting breakfast Chefs to join the team at Elysium Noosa just in the heart of Noosa steps from Noosa Main Beach.
This position involves the preparation cooking and presentation of food in accordance with established menus and standards. The role will be hands on and will require strong technical skills the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment and a passion for high-quality breakfast cuisine.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Preparing seasoning and cooking food items in accordance with menu specifications
- Planning and organising the preparation and cooking of food across service periods
- Ensuring consistency quality and presentation of dishes
- Monitoring food preparation processes to ensure compliance with hygiene health and safety regulations
- Storing food correctly and managing stock rotation to minimise waste
- Assisting with ordering receiving and checking kitchen supplies
- Cleaning and maintaining kitchen equipment workstations and food preparation areas
- Supervising and assisting kitchen staff during service as required
- Contributing to menu execution and continuous improvement of kitchen operations
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years of relevant full-time commercial cooking experience or a relevant Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery (or equivalent)
- Proven experience performing duties consistent with the occupation of Chef
- Proven breakfast cooking experience; expertise in egg-based dishes preferred.
- Sound knowledge of food safety standards and safe food handling practices
- Demonstrated ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced commercial kitchen environment
- Strong teamwork communication and time-management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality
