Job Summary

An international access equipment provider is seeking a capable Yard Operator / Mechanical Trade Assistant for a 2-month full-time assignment at their Glendenning facility. This position focuses on the safe handling inspection and preparation of EWPs and boom lifts prior to hire or sale.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone confident working around heavy equipment in an open yard environment.

2-month contract with full-time hours
$40 per hour plus penalties
8:00am starts 38 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

Unload and load EWPs and boom lifts from flatbed trucks
Operate access equipment to reposition machines across the yard
Maintain exclusion zones during unloading and loading activities
Complete delivery checks and process paperwork
Conduct inspections test functions and identify repair requirements
Carry out basic yard maintenance including washdowns re-stickering minor repairs and touch-up painting
Stage equipment correctly based on readiness for hire or sale
Support safe restraint and loading for outgoing deliveries
Operate forklifts to move scissor lifts parts and materials
Keep the yard clean organised and compliant

About You

Mechanical aptitude or experience using hand tools
Current LF forklift licence
EWP licences (over and/or under 11m)
Open drivers licence
Confident and safety-focused when operating machinery in a busy yard
