About the opportunity:

Join the St Vincents Private Hospital Brisbane team at our spectacular Kangaroo Campus. We are seeking an enthusiastic Ward Clerk for a 5-month part-time contract (25 hours per week MondayFriday 8:00am1:00pm ending 30th June 2026). In this role you will be pivotal in ensuring smooth administrative operations and a seamless experience for our patients and visitors.

As our Ward Clerk you will provide essential support across the ward administrative functions. A snapshot of your duties include:

• Greeting patients visitors and other customers

• Liaising with nursing staff to provide accurate information to patients and families

• Preparing maintaining and managing patient files medical records and appointment lists

• Providing clerical and administrative support to the NUM and nursing team

• Coordinating with allied health qld xray and various hospital departments to support patient care treatments and transfers

• A professional phone manner excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure

• Competent computer skills including Microsoft Word Excel and Outlook

• The ability to problem-solve take initiative and work both independently and collaboratively

• Previous hospital administration experience is desirable
