Position Details
The Office of Diversity Planning Assistant will collaborate with the Director of Diversity Planning and colleagues across all divisions to support DEIB programming professional learning and community partnerships. This is a hands-on role that involves collaborating closely with the Director to strengthen a culture of belonging and advance key DEIB priorities.
Essential Responsibilities include:
Community Engagement
- Support new and ongoing DEIB initiatives school-wide events and programs that build belonging and cultural competence.
- Support divisional DEIB coordinators and Divisional Diversity Planning Teams.
- Support divisional affinity groups and leaders as needed.
Professional Learning Support
- Support DEIB-focused professional development for faculty and staff.
- Assist Diversity Director in planning and delivering lessons seminars and workshops on belonging intercultural communication and community building.
- Help identify relevant conferences and learning opportunities; help coordinate faculty and student participation.
Recruitment & Retention
- Support the Diversity Planning and Admissions Office efforts to recruit and retain a diverse faculty staff and student body.
- Support outreach efforts and admissions programming aligned with DEIB goals.
Communications & Partnerships
- Collaborate with the Marketing & Communications team to support Diversity Planning website newsletter and social content.
- Support Director in building relationships with parent groups and community organizations that advance DEIB initiatives.

Qualifications
- Bachelors degree required; minimum three years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working in a dynamic school setting.
- Experience in supporting DEIB programming in educational or organizational settings.
- Strong interpersonal communication and facilitation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects in a demanding environment.
