Job Summary

Leads and manages the strategic direction for the Credit Card programs which includes expansion of the program usage and achieving cost reductions in making payments for the organization. Position works closely with Key Stakeholders to develop effective strategies to expand administer and monitor the credit card programs virtual and addition responsible for overall Administration and training of the corporate Purchasing Card Program and expense reporting tool and the Corporate Travel and Entertainment Card Program Action Team Generosity Programs Business Development Program Event Planner Conference Cards ePayables Vendor Payments and Corporate Gift Cards. Other strategic tasks and participation in projects assigned to support departmental objectives including category manager contracting.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and implementthe strategic directionforthe creditcard identifying opportunities to expand the program andoptimizecredit cards as an efficient payment method for corporate and implement those modifications.

  • Develops the credit card program policies and administers those policies in an efficient way for the organization including:

A) Administration of the credit card program by issuing cardsdeterminingcardlimitsandcanceling cardsimmediatelyupon employee termination.

B) Identifyand initiate enrollment ofadditionalmerchants for card programs

C) Work with internal and external partners to define and communicate specifications and expectations of credit card purchases.

  • Market the credit card program to encourageuseof the program.

  • Expert in Thrivents expense reimbursement toolprovidingreimbursement guidance to corporate credit card holders

  • Lead the selection process for credit card vendors and negotiate the contracts drafting contract language andfacilitatingpost contract vendor relationship management in the selection and management of Thrivents suppliers

  • Measure track analyze and audit credit card usage taking corrective actions when needed by notifying managerscardholdersand code of conduct of non-compliance issues and/orimproving and future policy/direction/controls.

  • Subject matter expert for charge card programs within the corporation coaching and providing consultation to clients resolve vendor disputes and drive procurement best practices across all divisions/departments for assigned category.

  • Decides best strategic approaches to promote and market the credit card programs are an efficient way for Thrivent to make payments and return an incentive to Thrivent in the form of a alsoleveragescredit card debt to promote Thriventsutilizationof is medium-term andimpactsthe entire organization.

  • Decides on how to best manage and audit the program and any impacts to Thrivents payment of the credit card is medium-term andimpactsthe entire organization.

  • Decides on efficient use of time to balance competing is short-term andimpactsthe entire organization or external vendors.

  • Work closely with IT to implement technology solutions and resolve problems that enhance the programs.

  • Other strategic tasks and participation in projects assigned to support departmental objectivesincluding category manager contracting

QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Required:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent in education and experience

  • At least 5 years credit card program management experience

  • Risk managementauditingand accounting knowledge/experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to work with all areas of the organization

  • Proventrack recordin negotiation skills and working with internal customers and vendors at a professional level

  • Proficiencyin expense reporting tools word processing spread sheets and email especially tracking and measuring program performance

Preferred:

  • Good program management skills-abilityto develop a strategic plan and implement it.

  • Strong analytical and creativeproblem solvingskills.

  • Strong oral and written communication skillsincludingthe ability to develop and conduct training work withteamsand collaboration skills.

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously

The applicable salary or hourly wage range for this full-time role is $81537.00 - $110315.00 per year which factors in various geographic regions. The base pay actually offered will be determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to location relevant experience skills and knowledge business needs market demand and other factors Thrivent deems important.
