Job Summary

Job Title: Patient Support Specialist Call Center (Part Time)
Location: Central Business Office / Vandalia Ohio
Upon completion of training this position will be eligible to work from home coming into the office one day every other week
Summary:
The Patient Support Associate provides duties relating to the answering of incoming calls transferring calls and performing routine miscellaneous administrative tasks as required.
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm; 20 hours per week with the need to be flexible during business hours
No weekends evenings or holidays!

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Answers incoming calls in a professional tone of voice;
  • Listens attentively to ensure accurate response;
  • Welcomes all patients and visitors to Dayton Physicians with kindness courtesy and respect;
  • Transfers calls to correct locations;
  • Pages staff and physicians as requested;
  • Assists other office support positions as needed or requested;
  • Follow all health care privacy and safety rules;
  • Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Not applicable.
Required Education and/ or Experience:
High School Diploma or GED previous experience with a multi-line phone and computers required. Prefer Medical Office experience.
General Skill Requirements:
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word Excel and Outlook.
  • Experience working with a Practice Management system.
  • Attendance and punctuality are essential requirements of this position to provide excellent customer service to both our internal and external stakeholders.
