Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented General Accounting Supervisor to join our team. The General Accounting Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the accounting department and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities:

- Oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including accounts payable accounts receivable and general ledger activities

- Review and analyze financial statements and reports ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards and company policies

- Prepare and review journal entries reconciliations and other accounting transactions

- Monitor and maintain the general ledger ensuring proper coding and classification of transactions

- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes including the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules

- Manage and develop a team of accounting staff providing guidance and support as needed

- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial information

- Identify areas for process improvement and implement changes to increase efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function

- Stay updated on accounting regulations and standards and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations

- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Finance Manager.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field

- CPA certification preferred

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting with at least 2 years in a supervisory role

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards

- Experience with financial reporting and analysis

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software

- Excellent communication leadership and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines

- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
