ATCO Frontec is seeking an Indigenous Relations Coordinator to join our team. The Indigenous Relations Coordinator is focused ensuring Frontec meets its reporting requirements and liaising with communities when required.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the day-to-day coordination of the Frontec Indigenous Relations meetings and working with leaders and IR members across the organization
Track and coordinate incoming sponsorship and event requests registrations and participation.
Organize events including invitations meeting setup and day-of support
Record analyze and input information that relates to the wider-Frontec group to SharePoint site
Develop and maintain tracking on elements of tracking Key Performance Indicators as well as in all areas
Maintain monitor and submit Frontecs Indigenous Relations reporting requirements for clients
Track attendance of IR team at events conferences and training opportunities
Handle external and internal inquiries as required
Attend community events when required
Support long term relationships with Indigenous communities
Travel may be required in this role.
Qualifications
Degree or Diploma in Commerce Business Marketing Indigenous Studies or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience working with Indigenous communities and understanding cultural diversity.
Strong knowledge of Indigenous history traditions and protocols.
Familiarity with government programmes and regulatory requirements for Indigenous consultation.
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Excellent communication facilitation and presentation skills.
Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.
Business acumen.
Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates.
Must be based in Calgary.
Final candidates will be required to undergo a Security Clearance Check.
