About the role:


St Vincents Private Hospital Northside is currently looking forexperienced Support Services Assistantsto join our team. Working in a dynamic fast-paced setting environment.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering and maintaining high standards of cleanliness across all hospital areas including wards and operating theatres.

  • Ensuring equipment used during your shift is cleaned restocked and stored correctly.

  • Supporting a collaborative and respectful workplace culture.

  • Communicating effectively with nursing staff and other stakeholders to help achieve positive clinical outcomes.

Our hospital has 227 beds 9 operating theatres 2 cardiac catheter laboratories a 17-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) Day Oncology Unit Breast Health Centre Endoscopy Unit Cardiac RehabilitationUnitand a 24-hour private emergency centre provided by Brisbane Northside Emergency.

  • Ability to work a variety of casual shifts including weekends and evenings as required

  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic cleaning techniques and use of equipment

  • Outstanding hygiene standards and a basic understanding of infection control

  • An understanding of safe work procedures and practice including manual handling

  • Demonstrated ability to work unsupervised whilst working towards tight deadlines
