Job Description:
Responsible for system/software safety across the full development lifecycle ensuring compliance with civil and defense safety standards. Involves hazard identification structured safety analyses and collaboration with cross-functional teams to resolve complex system issues.

Skills Required:

Experience with software safety standards (DO-178C MIL-STD-822 AMCOM385-17 Joint Software Safety Engineering Handbook)
Familiarity with SAE ARP-4761 ARP-4754 and MIL-STD-882 processes
Direct experience in SAE ARP4761 analyses: AFHA/SFHA PASA/PSSA/ASA/SSA PRA ZSA CMA
Direct experience in MIL-STD-882 analyses: PHA O&SHA HHA SHA/SSHA Hazardous Materials FMECA SAR
MBSE/MBSA experience or training preferred
Strong analytical/problem-solving skills cross-functional collaboration
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
Technical/functional understanding of aircraft systems

Qualifications:

5 years on aircraft/system development or sustainment programs with structured safety processes
Bachelors degree in STEM (related military/aviator/mechanic qualifications considered)
Advanced degrees count as additional experience
Eligible for Secret Security Clearance
