Location Taloja -MIDC PanvelRaigad
Key Responsibilities Machine Operation:
Operate and monitor high-speed coating machines as per SOPs and job cards.
Set machine parameters such as fi lm weight line speed oven temperature and viscosity.
Responsible for the drying oven performance and basic maintenance.
Monitor the machine throughout the shift to ensure consistent output and minimal downtime.
Material Handling:
Handle various types of metal and aluminum substrates including scroll sheets ensuring safe and correct loading/unloading.
Maintain logs for all lacquers and coating materials used including batch numbers manufacturers date of manufacture and expiry dates.
Quality Control:
Ensure the coated sheets meet quality standards including uniform coating proper drying and absence of defects.
Coordinate with QA for inspection and testing.
Identify coating defects (e.g. pinholes color inconsistency) and take corrective actions promptly.
Make process adjustments to address coating or registration issues.
Documentation & Reporting:
Record all process parameters including hourly fi lm weight (wet/dry) viscosity oven temperature and line speed.
Log material consumption and inform management in writing about any operational issues or deviations.
Submit shift reports and defect records.
Safety & Housekeeping:
Strictly follow all safety procedures especially when handling hazardous or fl ammable lacquers and solvents.
Keep the work area and surrounding areas clean and clutter-free at all times.
Report any accidents near misses or equipment hazards immediately.
Collaboration & Training:
Work closely with QA and Logistics teams to ensure smooth operations.
Assist in resolving raw material and logistics issues during the shift.
Train and guide assistant operators and new joiners on machine operation and safety practices.
Education ITI/Diploma in Mechanical Printing Technology Surface Coating or equivalent.
Ideally 5 years of experience in operating coating machines in metal decoration or related industry.
Skill Requirements
Familiarity with diff erent types of lacquers and coatings used in metal printing.
Experience working with various substrates like tinplate aluminum scroll sheets.
Strong attention to detail and ability to troubleshoot production issues. Working knowledge of KBA Metal Coat 470 machine is a strong advantage .
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
Factory fl oor environment. Will be required to work in shifts including night shifts and extended hours when needed.
Location : The candidate should reside within a commutable distance from the factory location-Taloja MIDC
