Role & responsibilities:
1. Strategic Planning
- Conduct deep-dive research into market trends competitor movements and emerging technologies.
- Deconstruct complex business problems using first principles thinking to build strategic frameworks from the ground up rather than relying on industry tropes.
- Support the Groups strategic planning building outside-in perspectives and connecting long-term visions into actionable 3 - 5 year roadmaps.
2. Financial Analysis & Modeling
- Build and maintain sophisticated financial models to evaluate new business opportunities M&A targets or capital expenditure projects.
- Enhance rigor in strategic planning through financial analysis scenario and sensitivity analysis to provide data-backed recommendations.
- Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) across business units and identify variances between actuals and strategic targets.
3. Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Facilitate cross-functional collaboration ensuring that departments (Finance Marketing and Procurement) are aligned with the overarching corporate strategy.
- Synthesize complex data into high-impact presentations and white papers for senior leadership.
Preferred candidate profile:
- Strong engineering background with an innate ability to process large datasets and identify patterns.
- Sharp perspectives on corporate finance unit economics and market dynamics.
- Exceptional storytelling skills ability to prepare impactful and compelling presentations for senior stakeholders.
- Financial Modeling (Advanced Excel) Story boarding (Power Point); Visualization through BI tools (Tableau/ Power BI) is a plus.
