About the role
Step into a pivotal role where safety meets innovation. As EHS Manager you will drive Environmental Health and Safety excellence at two premier locations in India our Bangalore Plant and our Coimbatore Unit.
Key Responsibilities
Operational EHS Management: Manage day-to-day safety operations for India Bangalore Plant operations implementing global corporate EHS programs and ensuring strict adherence to Safety Health and sustainability goals.
Risk Assessment & Control: Conduct thorough risk assessments on Safety behaviors and implement robust control measures for chemical hazards and flammable liquids to avoid any recordable injury. Consistent drive for Near Miss.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure full compliance and safety law as per state and central regulations environmental regulations maintaining a deep understanding of the full lifecycle of chemical management from handling to disposal.
Safety Systems & Technical Expertise: Apply expertise in manufacturing and plant equipment to maintain a safe environment in our operations Drive BBS (Behavior Based Safety) across both the units.
Continuous Improvement: Provide guidance on new environmental legislation and green chemistry practices fostering a strong safety culture through coaching and feedback.
Qualifications :
Required:
Technical or bachelor / university degree in Environment Health and Safety or Chemical/Process Engineering with a minimum of 8-10 years of relevant experience.
Deep expertise in occupational EHS industrial hygiene and health and safety legislation within a manufacturing environment.
Skills you need to succeed:
Proven ability to foster teamwork and skillfully influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Strong leadership coaching and mentoring skills with a hands-on approach to problem-solving.
Excellent verbal written and presentation skills in both Dutch and English with proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software systems.
People management Skills
