This contract position requires an on-site presence offering a unique opportunity to provide essential medical care to children in a supportive environment.
As a Locum MD in Pediatrics you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating various pediatric conditions ensuring the highest standard of care for our young patients. Youll work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive medical services contributing significantly to our mission of improving child health outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of pediatric patients
- Diagnose and treat a variety of illnesses and injuries in children
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the healthcare team
- Provide guidance and education to parents and caregivers on pediatric health
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records
- Stay informed about advancements in pediatric medicine and best practices
- Participate in on-call duties as required
- Ensure compliance with all medical regulations and standards
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license to practice in the state
- Experience in pediatrics or related field (minimum of 2 years preferred)
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of pediatric medicine
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts 7-day stretches
Level II nursery
Patient Census: 3-5 pediatrics and 3-15 newborns per day
Duties: Provide care for pediatric patients call for emergency or complicated c-sections and ED call for pediatric patients
Required Procedures:Neonatal resuscitation
Support Staff:RNs
EMR: Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
