Description
This contract position requires on-site work and provides an excellent opportunity to contribute to the health and wellness of our community through comprehensive care in the field of obstetrics and gynecology.
In this role you will play a crucial part in delivering quality healthcare services to our patients. You will be responsible for diagnosing and treating a variety of conditions providing prenatal care and assisting with labor and delivery. Your expertise will significantly impact patient outcomes and youll work alongside a team of healthcare professionals committed to excellence in patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and medical histories
- Provide prenatal intrapartum and postpartum care
- Perform gynecological examinations and procedures
- Diagnose and manage obstetric and gynecological conditions
- Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare providers
- Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention
- Participate in hospital rounds and care coordination
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Active medical license in the state of Iowa
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of Ob/Gyn practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement
- Experience in a clinical setting is preferred
Flexible Schedule: 12 or 24-hour shifts
Shifts available at multiple facilities
Annual Volume: 3600 deliveries at one location 500-500 deliveries at other location
Responsibilities: ER consults GYN surgeries
Clinical instruction to residents
Support Staff: OB/GYN midwife residents
EMR: Epic
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
