Job Title: Remote Surveyor
Type: Full Time; 40 hours per week
Rate: 10-12AUD/hour depending on experience
Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Surveyor to accurately measure and map land structures and construction sites. The Surveyor will play a critical role in planning design and execution of projects by providing precise spatial data and ensuring compliance with legal engineering and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct land topographic boundary and construction surveys
- Measure distances angles and elevations using surveying instruments (total station GPS laser scanners)
- Prepare and maintain survey plans maps and reports
- Establish control points and benchmarks on site
- Interpret engineering drawings site plans and specifications
- Verify dimensions alignments and levels during construction
- Liaise with engineers architects project managers and contractors
- Ensure surveys comply with local regulations codes and standards
- Identify and resolve discrepancies or site measurement issues
- Maintain survey equipment and ensure calibration accuracy
Qualifications & Skills
- Degree or diploma in Surveying Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Surveyor license or certification (preferred where applicable)
- Proven experience in land or construction surveying
- Proficiency with surveying software (AutoCAD Civil 3D Leica Trimble Topcon 12D or similar)
- Strong mathematical and analytical skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong communication and documentation skills
