Exciting opportunity to join Riverside Community Care as a Relief Middle/High School Teacher for our esteemed Riverside School!
The Riverside School is a 766-approved Private Therapeutic Day School which provides student-centered educational experiences that are clinically intensive and foster a culture of mutual respect and appreciation for growth and learning. Our services support opportunities for leadership within an educational environment that focuses on students academic achievement social emotional functioning and community engagement.
The Riverside School serves students in grades 6-12 offering a low student-teacher ratio within the classroom structured group and individual therapy and opportunities to engage in the larger community. Our educational and clinical staff work collaboratively to ensure students are progressing in both their academic and therapeutic development with skilled educational and clinical professionals.
The Relief Middle / High School Teacher is responsible for implementing the academic and classroom components of each students individualized IEP requirements tracking their progress towards those goals facilitating student learning based on course requirements and collaborating with the multi-disciplinary team in the provision of appropriate services to students.
Salary:
- Bachelors Degree working towards licensure: $33.16/hour
- Bachelors Degree with initial licensure: $34.68/hour
- Masters Degree working towards licensure: $35.70/hour
- Masters Degree with licensure: $41.82/hour - $42.84/hour depending on years of experience
Schedule:Relief hours available; Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM with full on-site and in-person programming

Required Skills
- Must have excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills
- Basic computer fluency including Microsoft Office required
- Valid drivers license and reliable personal vehicle required for local travel
Required Experience
- Bachelors Degree in Education with MA educator licensure; Bachelors Degree in Special Education with MA special educator licensure preferred
- One year working with children and/or adolescents in an academic setting strongly preferred
- Degree and experience must be in compliance with current program needs to meet DESE staffing requirements
