Whats the role
An incredible opportunity for a Manager Advanced Analytics & Insights to join BTs Data and Analytics division supporting with BTs growth objectives. The role will require an ability to mine and model our internal/external data and apply quantitative analysis for insights to empower the BT business whilst maintaining a rigorous data governance standard. This role is full-time Sydney based (hybrid working).
Key areas include:
- Utilize data and analytics to derive insights that achieve business objectives and influence strategy. This includes tasks such as flow forecasting identifying profitable customer segments conducting cohort analysis on retirement strategies and propensity modelling to target growth objectives and assist marketing campaigns.
- Build models across various domains including financial markets investment management actuarial science machine learning and marketing/strategy.
- Contribute to high-quality research collaborating with leading industry practitioners to generate thought leadership and promote the company.
- Enhance the application of mathematical and analytical methods within BT such as assisting with the accurate assessment of Net Promoter Score (NPS) sampling errors.
- Ensure effective data governance and best practice implementation of BTs risk management framework to comply with license obligations and reduce operational risks
- Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Contribute to board papers requiring strong quantitative and analytical input and present such materials to boards.
- Stay updated on industry trends and relevant technical developments including advancements in machine learning and artificial intelligence
What do I need
- Extensive experience model development and quantitative analysis in a Financial Services environment such as Investment Banking Asset/Funds Management or Wealth Management.
- A strong background in quantitative disciplines such as Statistics Economics Mathematics Financial Engineering Operations Research Engineering Finance or Physics.
- Extensive experience in statistical modelling regression analytics or machine learning.
- Degree in a mathematical statistical or actuarial discipline required.
- A strong understanding of data governance risk management and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant financial industry legislations and regulations able to understand their impact on the wealth business and keen to follow their development.
- Proven commercial experience in writing complex SQL queries strong programming skills in languages such as C Python MATLAB or R as applied to quantitative analysis and modelling required.
- Technical expertise in data analysis data mining machine learning or programming.
- Experience in management and the ability to communicate effectively with both direct reports and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset with the ability to extract and communicate relevant data insights.
