Job Summary

Datadog is seeking a seasoned design leader to accelerate the evolution of its core products and help us define whats next. These products power how engineers visualize optimize and troubleshoot complex distributed this role youll lead a 40-person design team across North America and Europe shaping how often the invisible world of infrastructure becomes understandable navigable actionable and deeply human. Its an opportunity to craft the design vision for our customers to see interpret and act on live datatransforming dense technical signals into experiences that feel clear intuitive and empowering.

What youll do:

Grow mentor and lead a talented and diverse team of global design managers and product designers.
Partner with cross-functional partners to establish roadmaps metrics and goals.
Help the team to Design ahead and set the vision for the user experience to meet customer and business needs.
Guide and accelerate your team oversee multiple workstreams and connect the dots between cross-org products for your team to deliver a cohesive customer experience.
Be the champion for product excellence.
Youll report to the Head of Design and work with peer leaders to strengthen our processes tools and design organization.

Who You Are:

15 years experience in product design with 8 years experience managing managers.
Strong experience and portfolio that showcases a track record of design leadership end-to-end experience ownership and design excellence.
Strong customer advocacy with a penchant for data and business-informed design.
Experience of building complex products.
Experience of building B2B saas products is desirable but not required.
Ability to dabble in the technical breadth and depth of modern software development.
