In this role youwill provide tactical leadership support advocacy and vision to the force to forward plan the workforce and talent that is in line with South Yorkshire Police (SYP) strategic direction and core values.
Key responsibilities:
Develop HR and Learnings BI reporting capability.
Work to establish and embed a resource forecasting tool so it becomes a business-as-usual activity in line with other business planning processes.
Support the production of reports required for HMIC PEEL and internal governance boards.
Support the monitoring of workforce statistics including retention leavers and diversity profiles to identify trends and gaps making recommendations to address these.
On-going review and improvement of reporting processes to standardise and align techniques across all reporting teams.
Ensure ongoing validation a cleansing of data within the systems.
Continually seek improvements and streamline processes.
Experience Skills and Training required for the role:
Understanding of data and analytics with an ability to demonstrate to others its impact.
Skilled in engaging a diverse range of stakeholders building relationships that are based on trust working collaboratively and to improve the employee experience and align to the organisations values.
Able to use a range of communication and influencing techniques and methods to successfully negotiate collaborate and/or effect change.
Must have a high attention to detail and be able to prioritise conflicting tasks.
Advanced proficiency in MS Excel Word and PowerPoint.
Must have strong problem-solving skills.
Gather data from internal systems databases and external sources.
Clean validate and organize data for analysis.
Maintain understanding of the forces priorities and how these link to own work.
Maintain professional performance/ business management skills including keeping up to date with new developments in workforce planning standards policy and practice

Applicants must meet the minimum requirement checkable history criteria which must be taken into account for individuals applying to work with South Yorkshire Police in any capacity. A minimum checkable history of 5 years is required for this role and successfully undergoing recruitment vetting procedure is a pre-requisite of employment with South Yorkshire Police.
