The Opportunity:
The Assistant Vice President (AVP) for System Brand Marketing serves as the Washington State University (WSU) systems senior brand and marketing partnership with the Assistant Vice President for Strategic Communications theAVPfor System Brand Marketing will be responsible for advancing WSUs reputation visibility and engagement across Washington and beyond.
Reporting to the Vice President for System Communications and Strategy theAVPleads enterprise-level brand marketing strategy creative direction and integrated campaign execution that elevate the universitys priorities.
TheAVPprovides leadership for brand management creative services digital marketing and market research ensuring that all expressions of theWSUbrand are consistent contemporary and compelling. The position collaborates closely with partners across Enrollment Management Advancement Athletics and academic units to positionWSUas a national leader among modern land-grant institutions.
Additional Information:
This is a full (100% FTE) permanent position. This position is overtime exempt.
Monthly Salary: $15000-$20000 Commensurate with experience and qualifications
In accordance with RCW 49.58.110 the above salary reflects the full salary range for this position. Individual placement within the range is based on the candidates current experience education skills and abilities related to the position.

Required Qualifications:
A Bachelors degree in a related field and eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in the appropriate administrative/professional area. A Masters degree in a relevant field may be substituted for up to one (1) year of the required experience. A Juris Doctor degree may be required for selected positions. Any combination of relevant education and professional experience may be substituted for the educational requirement on a yearforyear basis.
A minimum of 8 years of progressively responsible experience in brand marketing or strategic communications including at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven ability to develop and execute integrated marketing strategies in large complex organizations.
Demonstrated success in leading creative teams an managing agency relationships.
Strong analytical and strategic-thinking skills with a deep understanding of digital marketing and data-driven decision-making.
Excellent writing presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
A Masters degree in marketing communications or business.
Experiences in higher education or a mission-driven organization with a multi-campus structure.
Knowledge of Washington State Universitys land-grant mission and statewide impact.
Expertise in market research brand positioning and digital transformation initiatives.
