Collins Engineers is seeking aRail/Transit Project Manager IIfor ourNorwood Massachusettsoffice. This position will be responsible for overseeing a team of subconsultants monitoring budgets designs and acting as the owners project manager. Typical Duties and Responsibilities:

Performcomplex engineering computations involving conventional engineering practices.
Demonstratestrong proficiency in computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering and design documents.
Responsible for projects of varying size and complexity from inception to completion.
Takean active role in contract negotiations project planning project quality and project profitability.
Overseeproject budgets.
Accountable for project schedules and timely completion of projects.
Ensureaccurate client billings and monitors outstanding accounts receivable.
Provideleadership in client management proposal preparation project scoping and estimating project costs.
Maintainmeaningful relationships with clients.
Directand supervisethe work of project teams and support staff.
Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelors degree and/or masters degree in civil engineering from an accredited four-year university.
Eight years or more experience in structural design and project management.
Experience in the design and construction of rail and transit facilities buildings railroads bridges or roadways.
Experience and proficiency with railroads and transit design specifications and requirements including AREMA standards preferred.
Experience with MBTA MassDOT Massport Amtrak and/or freight owner standards and procedures preferred.
Experience with project management software including Primavera P6 and MS Project preferred.
Owner project management experience a plus.
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus.
Active participation or willingness to participate in other client activities and national events such as APTA AREMA and The New England Railroad Club preferred.
Professional Engineer (P.E.) certification required.
Valid drivers license.
