Contract & Site Operations Manager

We are seeking an experienced Contract & Site Operations Manager to provide overall leadership for a large multi-disciplinary sports recreation and events service operation based in Bonny Island.

This role combines contract accountability with hands-on site operations leadership overseeing the delivery of structured sports programs recreational activities and organized events within a controlled site environment. The successful candidate will act as the single point of accountability for operational performance service quality compliance and stakeholder coordination supported by contract administration and programme coordination teams.

Key Responsibilities

Contract Accountability & Governance

• Provide overall accountability for contract performance relating to sports recreation and events services
  

• Act as the primary operational interface for senior stakeholders
  

• Ensure compliance with service standards approved programmes and internal policies
  

• Review approve and sign off operational compliance and performance reports
  

• Identify operational risks and manage escalations and corrective actions
  

Sports Recreation & Events Operations Leadership

• Lead day-to-day site operations for sports programmes recreational activities and organised events
  

• Supervise supervisors coaches instructors event support teams and service providers
  

• Ensure effective manpower planning scheduling and coverage across programmes and events
  

• Maintain service continuity during peak periods weekends tournaments and special events
  

Incident Risk & Safety Oversight

• Respond to operational incidents occurring during sports activities or events
  

• Ensure incidents are assessed documented and escalated in line with procedures
  

• Oversee implementation of safety controls across sporting and event activities
  

• Work closely with safety and compliance personnel to maintain a safe operating environment
  

Facilities Assets & Logistics Oversight

• Oversee the readiness of sports facilities recreational spaces and event venues
  

• Coordinate equipment consumables and logistics required for programs and events
  

• Monitor asset utilization and maintenance needs
  

Reporting & Performance Management

• Review operational performance data for sports and events activities
  

• Ensure accurate data flow from site teams to contract administration support
  

• Maintain an audit-ready posture across all sports and events services
  

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

Education

• Bachelors degree or HND in Facilities Management Operations Management Business Administration or a related discipline
  

• Project Management certifications is required
  

Experience

• Minimum of 810 years experience managing recreation events or contract-based service operations
  

• Proven experience overseeing multi-disciplinary teams including coaches instructors and event staff
  

• Strong background in vendor contractor or service provider management
  

• Experience working in structured compliance-driven environments
  

Required Skills & Competencies

Work Conditions

• Fully site-based role in Bonny Island Rivers State
