Key Responsibilities
- Greet room and escort orthopedic patients before and after imaging exams
- Prepare patients for imaging procedures (gowning positioning assistance removing braces/splints as directed)
- Assist radiologic technologists with patient positioning transfers and mobility support
- Clean and reset imaging rooms between patients following infection control standards
- Stock imaging rooms with linens positioning aids lead shields and orthopedic supplies
- Assist with basic cast room support (transport setup cleanup) when applicable
- Verify patient information orders and documentation in EMR/RIS
- Coordinate imaging flow with clinical staff providers and front desk
- Answer phones and assist with scheduling or patient questions as assigned
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and follow OSHA radiation safety and clinic policies
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- Prior experience in an orthopedic radiology or outpatient clinical setting preferred
- Knowledge of orthopedic terminology and anatomy a plus
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to safely assist patients with limited mobility

- Comfortable working with patients experiencing pain or limited mobility
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced outpatient environment
- Team-oriented dependable and professional
Physical & Work Requirements
- Frequent standing walking bending and lifting (up to 50 lbs with assistance)
- Direct patient contact in a clinical environment
- Use of PPE and adherence to radiation safety guidelines
