Wage Range:$28.50 - $31.50 hourly Non-Exempt

Position Overview:

The Residential Assistant Supervisor is responsible for training development and supervision of all activities of Residential Assistants from all shifts. Also has responsibility for overall program operations during shifts worked. Position requires coordination with all disciplines and program managers within organization.

What you will do:

  • Provide client support as required and assure follow through with client treatment plans during after-hours shifts including all groups and activities.
  • Facilitate client medication calls maintain all medication sheets and document proper distribution of medications.
  • Act as primary liaison with counseling medical mental health Child Development Center (CDC) and maintenance staff.
  • Supervise all Residential Assistants.
  • Develop and maintain schedule of Residential Assistants.
  • Determine and address training and development needs of Residential Assistants.
  • Maintain client confidentiality in compliance with program guidelines and Federal law.
  • Act as program supervisor during shifts worked.
  • Maintain facility in clean orderly fashion while on duty maintain care of facility.
  • Facilitate bi-weekly Residential Assistant meetings.
  • Coordinate and implement treatment schedule activities during shifts including group facilitation as needed.
  • Assure quality of programs in accordance with all program guidelines and NARA policies.
  • Attend staff meeting as assigned.
  • Monitor all Residential Assistant shifts to ensure client and facility safety.
  • Rotate on-call responsibility.
  • Works collaboratively and maintains professional boundaries with clients other NARA staff team members and treats everyone with respect and dignity at all times.


Qualifications

We would like to hear from people that have:

  • High School Diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certification required and minimum of two years in the field of mental health.
  • Experience working in an alcohol and drug residential program.
  • Understanding of 12-step philosophy.
  • Ability to lift minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Ability to work effectively in residential environment with clients and their children clinical staff administrative staff and facility staff.
  • Ability to serve as positive role model for clients their children and staff members.
  • Ability to manage time and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and necessary paperwork.
  • Ability to maintain professional healthy boundaries with clients and staff members and treat each individual with respect and dignity.
  • Ability to provide support and direction to staff.
  • Ability to triage issues and problems and mobilize staff to respond.
  • Communicates well to all disciplines and managers.
  • Excellent counseling skills.
  • Works to create team with assigned staff and with entire program staff.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for overall program in absence of more senior management.
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients the community and other staff members.
  • Work collaboratively with clients other NARA staff team members and to treat everyone with respect and dignity at all times.
  • Experience working within the Native American/Alaska Native community is considered a plus.
  • Must pass a pre-employment or for cause drug tests.
  • Must pass criminal background and DMV checks.
