Summary
The Field Asset Protection Manager conducts professional risk evaluations and investigations of insured properties within the jewelry and pawnbroker policyholder base of Jewelers Mutual. During these inspection visits the Field LP Manager will provide consultative advice to customers on a variety of best practices to ensure the safety and security of their property.

What Youll Do
- Conduct in person and virtual evaluations of jewelry and pawn businesses to assess security and condition of property concerns.
- Provide consultative advice to property owners on best practices needed to secure their property.
- Engage with Local State and Federal Law Enforcement to assist with complex investigations impacting policyholders and the jewelry industry.
- Partner with industry and trade associations to review crime data and use data to drive risk awareness and make recommendations on risk services tools and products used to mitigate risk.
- Develop a professional and comprehensive format for capturing relevant information necessary to complete a formal and professional final report on subject property.
- Gather and document relevant information from target property and consolidate within a professional report to be provided to key stakeholders (Underwriters Claim Adjusters); provide recommendations as to needed improvements/modifications to property per overall evaluation to be included within this final report.
- Ensure all information gathered from ongoing evaluations is effectively captured within an applicable database for book analysis purposes.
- Partner closely with Product and Underwriting in determining target locations to be inspected.
- Plan and execute travel to inspection locations independently in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

What Youll Bring
- Bachelors degree required preferably in a business related field.
- 7-10 years of experience in either a loss prevention capacity or underwriting of jewelers block insurance products preferred (An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered).
- Loss Prevention Qualified (LPQ) or LossPrevention Certified (LPC) as recommended
- Knowledge of crime prevention methods necessary to deter robbery theft and burglary helpful as well as ability to identify deficiencies in commercial buildings related to structural concerns or liability hazards relevant to underwriting insurance policies.
- Strong technical knowledge in loss prevention discipline.
- Commitment to quality and safety
- Excellent communication and relationship building skills
- Ability to travel across the US & Canada 50% of the time.
- Valid drivers license.
