Job Summary

MSAD #60 is seeking a qualified and enthusiastic individual for a part-time Grade 5 EXCEL/Gifted & Talented Teacher. Responsibilities:- Design and implement engaging and challenging curriculum tailored for gifted students.- Modify instruction to meet the diverse needs of gifted learners ensuring all students are appropriately challenged and supported.- Collaborate with colleagues to support the overall academic development of gifted students ensuring a holistic approach to their education.- Stay current with research and best practices in gifted education continually seeking professional growth and development :- Familiarity with Maine Chapter 104 Gifted & Talented regulations.- Hold or be willing to obtain Maine Gifted & Talented certification.- Prior experience working with gifted students is preferred.- Strong communication and collaboration skills to effectively work with students parents and colleagues.
