Job Summary
Job Title: Radiation Therapist (Travel)
Location: Sumter South Carolina
Assignment Type: Travel Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule & Shift
Shift Type: Day Shift
Schedule: 5 8-hour shifts
Shift Hours: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
Total Hours: 40 hours/week
Block Scheduling: Not Available
Weekends: No weekends required
Position Overview
A healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Radiation Therapist to support outpatient and inpatient services. This position offers a consistent weekday schedule with no weekend requirements and a collaborative clinical environment.
Responsibilities
Deliver radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician prescriptions and established protocols
Operate radiation therapy equipment safely and accurately
Ensure patient positioning comfort and safety throughout treatment sessions
Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation
Adhere to radiation safety standards and regulatory guidelines
Collaborate with radiation oncologists physicists and clinical staff
Floating Requirement
Contract staff may be required to float between units or campuses based on census needs
Floating will occur only to qualified units and within demonstrated competencies
Education & Certification Requirements
Graduation from an accredited Radiation Therapy program
Active state license and/or ARRT certification (as applicable)
Current BLS certification
