About the role:
This is a new Assistant Director role responsible for Adult Safeguarding and Quality Assurance functions. The post is initially fixed term for 1 year to provide strong leadership as we shape our new operating model across adult social care further embed strengths-based practice and new approaches to maintaining independence and prevention. This is an exciting time to lead the next phase of our service transformation work building on our recent CQC assessment and Good judgement.

Key Responsibilities:
The post holder will report to the Corporate Director of Adult Social Care Operations and hold the strategic and operational lead for adult safeguarding deprivation of liberty safeguards and the Adult MASH alongside practice improvement workforce development and quality assurance functions across the department.
Qualifications and Requirements:
The successful candidate will be educated to degree level with qualified Social Worker or allied health professional status with current Social Work England or HCPC registration.
