The Compliance Manager is responsible for ensuring adherence to compliance standards laws and internal procedures by overseeing security documentation collateral management systems and interest rate accuracy. The role focuses on minimising risk through effective compliance monitoring reporting and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in line with the approved compliance manual and relevant legislation.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Grade 12 and currently studying towards a Diploma/Degree in Credit Finance or Law.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a credit compliance or collateral and custodian environment including people management.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
Credit Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure accurate security and FICA documentation maintain compliance SOPs and monitor daily weekly monthly quarterly and yearly reports to minimise risk and errors.
National Credit Act (NCA) Compliance
- Conduct training on NCA requirements compile and submit statutory reports (Form 39 Form 40 Reg 68) and ensure timely renewal of NCR certificates as well as any other reports applicable.
Training & Work Allocation
- Deliver compliance-related training allocate staff to projects based on workload and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Quality Control & Audits
- Perform regular checks on compliance files implement audit recommendations and highlight risk areas to management.
Refinancing & Book Debt Management
- Oversee refinancing processes ensure accurate SAP updates and maintain correct collateral and security documentation.
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
- In-depth knowledge of FICA NCA and other relevant legislation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- High level of computer literacy (MS Word MS Excel).
- Knowledge of SAP systems.
- Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment.
- Fluent in English and able to read write and understand Afrikaans.
BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong team player.
- Analytical thinking and attention to detail.
