Job Description:
Our client a global leader in controlled environments and safety technologies is seeking to appoint an HR & Systems Manager / Executive Assistant to oversee the organisation’s human resource’s function and internal business systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the company’s human resources operations internal business systems and administrative functions to ensure efficient and compliant business operations. The role also acts as a strategic Executive Assistant to the General Manager providing operational support assisting with strategic decision-making and helping remove operational barriers.
As a member of the Executive Committee you will contribute to organisational strategy strengthen cross-departmental alignment and support the implementation of company objectives and corporate values across the business.
Responsibilities:
Executive Committee & Strategic Support
- Support the Executive Committee in implementing corporate values and organisational strategy.
- Contribute to strategic direction and business planning initiatives.
- Improve cross-departmental communication and operational alignment.
- Identify short- and long-term business risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies.
Human Resources Management
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle including advertising roles screening candidates interviewing reference checks and preparing employment offers.
- Coordinate employee onboarding inductions HR documentation and online induction systems.
- Support employee development through training coordination and performance review processes.
- Conduct exit interviews and manage offboarding processes including asset recovery.
- Oversee workers’ compensation cases and return-to-work programmes in collaboration with healthcare providers and management.
- Develop implement and maintain HR policies procedures and compliance frameworks in collaboration with management and finance.
Administration Systems & Business Support
- Maintain and manage the company’s contract register and support contract administration.
- Act as Quality Management Representative overseeing internal audits external audit coordination and corrective actions.
- Maintain and update quality management systems procedures manuals and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with IT service providers to manage system performance upgrades and internal support.
- Provide operational support to management including reporting on system improvements and resolving administrative matters.
- Manage company travel arrangements property administration and departmental budgets.
Requirements: Qualification and Skill
- 5 years’ HR experience or in a similar role.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field would be Advantageous
- Ability to present to all levels within an organisation including Senior Management
- Experience with HRIS implementation and management.
- Strong proficiency in HRIS and other HR-related software (e.g. payroll systems performance management tools).
- Ability to manage conflicts and mediations
- Office management or similar experience is advantageous.
- Prior experience in being a strategic partner or advisor to a GM or C-suite executive is advantageous.
- Ability to act as a sounding board for the GM offering insights and recommendations.
