Job Title: MICU Registered Nurse (RN) Travel Assignment
Location: Rochester NY 14621
Eligibility: Travel candidates only (must reside at least 50 miles from the facility)
Shift & Schedule
Day Shift: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM
Night Shift: 7:00 PM 7:00 AM
Schedule: 3 12-hour shifts per week (36 hours)

Position Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU) Registered Nurse for a high-acuity travel assignment in Rochester NY. In this role you will deliver advanced life-saving care to critically ill adult patients with complex medical conditions including sepsis ARDS respiratory failure and multi-organ dysfunction. This position requires strong clinical judgment technical expertise and the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary critical care team.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct continuous comprehensive physical and hemodynamic assessments; monitor vital signs labs and patient responses to identify subtle clinical changes
Manage and monitor advanced life-support equipment including mechanical ventilators CRRT IABP and ECMO
Safely administer and titrate critical care medications and IV drips (e.g. vasopressors sedatives analgesics)
Serve as a patient advocate for sedated or non-verbal patients ensuring goals of care are respected
Collaborate with intensivists respiratory therapists pharmacists and nursing colleagues during daily rounds
Accurately document patient care interventions and outcomes in EPIC EMR
Provide education communication and emotional support to patients families during critical situations
Qualifications
Licensure: Active New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license (must be in hand)
Education: Diploma ADN or BSN (BSN preferred)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience (MICU experience preferred)
Certifications:
BLS and ACLS Required
NIHSS Required
CCRN Preferred
Technical Skills: Experience with ventilated patients invasive monitoring lines and EPIC EMR
Professional Skills: Strong critical thinking ability to perform under pressure excellent communication and teamwork skills
