Import Specialist

Essential Job Functions

• Receive review and process import documentation for an assigned base of accounts
• Obtain and process Customs release and other government agency releases as appropriate arranging delivery and invoicing the import accounts to their SOP
• Monitor transactions and notify supervisory personnel of any problem or irregularities
• Provide excellent and timely customer service by informing the customer of the status of their shipment(s)
• Coordinate the release of goods from the carrier customs or other governmental agency examinations that may be required
• Other duties as assigned

Other Skills & Abilities

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must have excellent customer service skills responding promptly and professionally to customer needs and requests for service and assistance.
• Ability to add subtract multiply and divide using units of U.S. currency weight volume and distance measurements
• Ability to read and interpret documents and write routine correspondence.
• Must be detail oriented with good organizational skills
• Strong computer skills

Physical Requirements

• Talking hearing and using hands to operate computer equipment
• Vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus
• Job may require extended sitting or standing use of standard office equipment.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or GED
• Two to three years related experience
• At least one year industry experience preferred.

Certifications & Licenses

• Professional certification may be required in some areas

Colorado required disclosure: Salary range for this position is between USD 18.14 - 27.85 hourly.
