Job Summary

Drive Strategy:Lead and execute the endtoend testing strategyforChromeOS Flex across an extensive range of x86 hardware architectures.

Ensure Quality:Guarantee stability performance and compatibility ofChromeOS Flex on diverse nonChromebook hardware.

Test Strategy & Planning:Define comprehensive test strategiesfornewChromeOS Flexreleases and hardware certifications addressing challenges such as hardware diversity UEFI Secure Boot and TPM variations.

Test Case Development :Design implement and maintain automated and Manual tests based oninfrastructure primarily leveraging Tast whileintegrating with existingChromeOS systems.

RootCause Analysis:Oversee test execution and performindepth analysis of complex failurestoprovide actionableinsights.

Bug Lifecycle Management:Triage prioritize and track defectstoresolutioninclose collaboration withChromeOS Flex engineering teams.

Hardware Compatibility (HCL):Drive testing effortstoensure seamless performance across certified and uncertified devicesrecognizing differences between standardChromeOS and Flex environments.

ProcessInnovation:Identify and implement improvementsintesting methodologies andtoolingtobroaden coverage andincrease efficiency.

Leadership & Mentorship:Provide technical guidancetojunior engineers and lead major crossfunctional testinginitiatives.

Strategic Collaboration:Partner withChromeOS Flex Engineering Hardware teams and Dev teamstomaintain product excellence and delivery timelines.

Bachelors degreeinComputer Sciencerelated technical field or equivalent practical experience.

7 years of experienceinsoftware quality or test engineering.

Deep familiarity with Linux environments commandlinetools and platformlevel software testing on diverse hardware.

Experience withChromeOS/ChromiumOS development and testing practices specifically using frameworks like Tast or Autotest
