About the Role
The Senior Director Fund Development will lead Friends of Rubys multi-year fundraising strategy and oversees all fund development activities including major gifts corporate partnerships grants and donor stewardship while working closely with theExecutive DirectorBoard and internal teams. Success is defined by building a strong diversified funding pipeline with consistentsix-figure commitmentsachievingand exceeding annual revenue goals and fostering a philanthropic culturethat enables significant growth in impact for 2SLGBTQIA youth
AsaSeniorDirector Fund Developmentyouwillbe responsible for:
- Lead and execute a multi-year philanthropic strategy focused on major gifts corporate partnerships and foundation grants.
- Build and manage a high-value donor portfolio securing transformative six-figure commitments.
- Oversee complex and multi-year gifts grant development reporting and donor stewardship in line with CRA guidelines.
- Serve as Friends of Rubys chief philanthropy ambassador; engage and support the Executive Director and Board in advancing major gifts.
- Cultivate an organization-wide culture of philanthropy andadvisethe Boards Fund Development Committee using data-driven insights.
- Lead mentor and grow a high-performing development team including future staffing planning.
- Ensure ethical fundraising CRA compliance and strong CRM gift management and stewardship practices.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum 710 years of progressive philanthropic leadership experience in the non-profit sector.
- Proventrack recordin major gift fundraising withthe abilitytosecure six-figurecommitments.
- Proficiencywith donor management/CRM software (e.g.Bloomerang Raisers Edge).
