Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants-COTA
Our client is looking for full-time and experienced Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants to join their team

- SALARY: $35-$38 an hour full-time depending on years of exp

Responsibilities Of Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant
- Collaborate with Occupational Therapists to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and activities to improve mobility and relieve pain.
- Monitor and document patient progress during therapy sessions.
- Educate patients and their families on at-home exercises and self-care techniques.
- Utilize medical terminology and knowledge of various treatment modalities to support patient care.
- Conducts screenings of residents as scheduled for referral to the Occupational Therapist
- Contributes objective data to Occupational Therapists as allowed by the scope of practice
- occupational therapy treatment to residents when indicated per the plan of care
- Actively engage and contribute to the success of the rehab department IDT and facility success
Requirements Of a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
- Minimum of an Associate of Science in Occupational Therapy Assisting from an accredited program
- A current Florida COTA License
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Must be computer/tech savvy
- Previous experience in is preferred in SNF and LTC but will take new grads.
- Familiarity with medical terminology and patient care practices.
- Strong understanding of physical therapy techniques and modalities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate well with patients.
