The Certified Orthopedic Tech assists the surgical team in orthopedic procedures maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring the availability of necessary equipment. This role involves preparing the operating room assisting surgeons during procedures and ensuring patient safety. The tech must be able to handle an average daily census of 25 cases across 3 rooms.

Location:Springfield Illinois United States
Responsibilities:
- Preparing the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies for orthopedic procedures.
- Assisting surgeons during orthopedic surgeries.
- Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical procedure.
- Collecting and preparing specimens.
- Cleaning and sterilizing surgical instruments.
- Monitoring and restocking supplies.
- Documenting procedures and patient information accurately.
- Preparing the operating room with necessary equipment and supplies for orthopedic procedures.
- Assisting surgeons during orthopedic surgeries.
- Maintaining a sterile environment in the operating room.
- Ensuring patient safety throughout the surgical procedure.

Required Skills & Certifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Orthopedic Tech.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of experience as an Orthopedic Tech.
- BLS certification.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
- CST (Certified Surgical Technologist) certification.
Special Considerations:
- Block scheduling is available and can be discussed with the manager.
- All requests for time off must be reviewed and approved by the manager.
