What Youll Do
- Participate in games and practices including organization and implementation of daily practices.
- Coaches in competition and training.
- Prepares film breakdown and analysis; presents analysis to team members.
- Plans and prepares for games and training.
- Assists with organizing team travel and meals.
- Assists with scouting recruitment and strategy development.
- Supports player and leadership development.
- Contributes to strength and conditioning program including one-on-one strength and conditioning work with student athletes.
- Provides support and encouragement to student athletes.
- Provides support and encouragement to student athletes.
- Recruits and retains talented athletes; builds relationship with prospective student athletes and their families through email phone and one-on-one meetings.
- Understands NCAA and North Atlantic Conference (NAC) rules compliance and laws.
- Ensures the safety and well-being of student athletes.
- Serves as an effective role model for college-age students.
- Assists with day-to-day operations of the softball program.
- Provides effective communication to head coach.
- collaborates effectively with other Department of Athletics team members.

Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Experience with the skills of softball
- Valid drivers license (in good standing based on UMS standards)
- Availability for practices and weekend competitive schedule
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree
- Collegiate competitive experience/coaching
- Sports recruiting experience
- CPR/First Aid Certification
