RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC
The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal Quebec the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).
Position summary
Working closely with and reporting to the Strategic Advisor/Manager of the Research Strategy Office (RSO) within the Division of Research Services the incumbent will oversee the planning of institutional initiatives and coordinate activities that support The Institutes 2030 Vision. The incumbent acts as the administrative point of contact for the Research Strategy Office.
General Duties
Coordinate and oversee the execution of institution-wide initiatives within the RSOs mandate
Promote initiatives and events develop marketing material
Coordinate events on behalf of the RSO
Schedule meetings on behalf of Research Priority Leaders and their respective advisory committees prepare and circulate agendas take and disseminate minutes
Send professional emails to internal and external stakeholders
Liaise with internal stakeholders to acquire drafts of documents needed for institutional reports and provide graphic support to documents as needed
Develop and circulate institutional surveys
Primary intake person for the RSO in-box responsible for monitoring and redirecting requests as necessary
Participate in team meetings and support other administrative activities as needed.
Education: Bachelors Degree
Field of Study: Administration or other related discipline.
Work Experience: Requires 2-5 years of experience preferably in a health science related institution experience working closely with researchers an asset.
Excellent oral and written communication skills both in French and English
Excellent organizational skills
Excellent ability to work as a team member
Excellent ability to work and perform under tight deadlines
High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word PowerPoint Excel Outlook Teams Forms) Doodle polls Canva (or related software) and preferably Adobe and Acrobat Pro
Experience coordinating patient and/or community engagement initiatives is an asset.
Status : Full-time.
Pay Scale: Commensurate with education & work experience. $45299.80 - $67958.80.
Work Shift: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 4:00pm. 35hrs/week overtime may be required during peak periods.
