The Opportunity

Downers Energy & Utilities business is seeking a Procurement Hub Manager to lead a small procurement team responsible for sourcing materials and services efficiently and strategically. Reporting to the Procurement Director this full-time role is based the Melbourne office and supports a range of critical projects across water energy and industrial networks.

This role is pivotal in ensuring projects have robust procurement plans strong supplier relationships and compliant sourcing practices that align with Downers standards. Youll work closely with project delivery teams commercial managers and internal supply chain peers to optimise spend manage risks and drive performance improvements across the business.

What Youll Do

Lead and develop a cohesive procurement hub team acting as a trusted advisor to project teams.
Prepare procurement plans manage sourcing and contracting activities and facilitate supplier negotiations.
Ensure compliance with Downer Standard P2P processes DFA and relevant legislation.
Monitor and manage procurement risks cost savings opportunities and performance issues.
Build and maintain strong supplier relationships resolving conflicts proactively.

What Were Looking For

We are seeking a highly capable procurement professional with a mix of technical commercial and leadership skills:

Tertiary qualification in Engineering Construction Management Quantity Surveying Law or related field.
5 years experience in procurement project management and/or contract management in construction utilities oil & gas or similar industries.
Strong project management negotiation and commercial acumen.
Excellent relationship management influencing and communication skills.
Resourceful proactive and hands-on problem solver with strong leadership capability.
