BioFarm Advisor Tasmania
BioMar Australia is seeking a BioFarm Advisor to support our aquaculture customers across Tasmania. This is a customer-facing role where youll provide practical technical guidance to optimise feeding practices fish performance and fish health while building strong relationships and identifying risks and opportunities early.
Reporting to the BioFarm Services Manager youll work across the Commercial team and collaborate closely with internal stakeholders including Quality Production Planning Fulfilment & Logistics Technical/R&D and Product Marketing & Communications to deliver high-impact customer support.
What youll be doing
- Conduct regular site visits to review feeding practices feed forecasts and fish performance
- Provide technical advice and troubleshooting support for feed quality/performance issues
- Attend customer meetings forecast and fulfilment forums and support effective planning
- Capture customer insights to drive service improvements and product development opportunities
- Identify and escalate customer risks (performance health consumption quality and continuity of supply/operations)
- Coordinate internal teams to resolve issues relating to forecasting ordering quality investigations and service delivery
- Prepare reports and analysis to evaluate product/service performance and support continuous improvement
- Use internal systems/tools for data entry reporting and documentation (e.g. Innovation Portal)
- Support WHS/OHS requirements and contribute to a strong safety culture
- Identify business development opportunities and support onboarding of new customers as required
What youll bring

- Current drivers licence
- Bachelor degree in Marine Science Aquaculture Animal Nutrition (or similar)
Experience & capability
- Typically 35 years relevant experience in aquaculture or a related field
- Strong understanding of commercial aquaculture and farm operations
- Confidence in data interpretation analysis and statistics translating insights into practical recommendations
- Knowledge of fish health physiology and nutrition and how feeding systems influence outcomes
- Strong planning and coordination skills with a proactive customer-focused approach
- Clear communication skills and the ability to build trust with customers and internal teams
