Summary:
-
Perform composite fabrication of detail parts and sub-assemblies using carbon fiber fiberglass and other aerospace composite materials
-
Perform composite lay-up fabrication and assembly using both hand lay-up methods and NC/automated equipment
-
Set up and operate automated lay-up machines and motorized fabrication equipment
-
Interpret and work from blueprints engineering drawings planning documents and non-conformance dispositions
-
Select correct parts materials tools hardware and standards to meet planned operations
-
Prepare test articles fixtures and data collection devices for testing
-
Perform basic organic chemical conversion paint preparation and routine organic coating application for corrosion protection and appearance
-
Report job constraints defects or workmanship issues in accordance with Boeing procedures
-
Maintain strict safety compliance including use of PPE at all times
-
Uphold exemplary housekeeping and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) standards
-
Maintain a clean organized and FOD-free work area
-
Coordinate work and share information with other shifts as needed
-
Install electrical components on the NASA SLS rocket
-
Periodically support electrical needs across various areas of the NOLA site
-
Operate JLG lifts as required (working at heights)
Requirements:
-
High school diploma or GED
-
1 year of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
-
Electrical installation or assembly experience (approximately 3 years)
-
Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprint drawings
-
Comfortable working at heights and operating JLG lifts
-
Must be a U.S. Citizen (as defined by ITAR).
