These efforts are monitored and assessed regularly to ensure accountability to all Summary:The SPED MOD Teacher is a cornerstone of Lawrence Public Schools. As a SPED MOD Teacher your area of expertise will be used to enrich the academic lives of the students of Guilmette Elementary Duties & Responsibilities: Take responsibility to be a strong positive force daily in their classroom - consistently and thoughtfully motivate students to work hard and want to learn. Design implement and collaborate around high-quality shared curricula that incorporate research-based strategies to help students master Massachusetts and Common Core standards. Motivate students to reach high achievement by setting class-wide and individual goals and provide specific and actionable feedback to students on their progress towards academic goals. Build supportive working relationships with fellow teachers associate teachers and staff and provide regular feedback to help develop associate teachers. Other responsibilities as needed and assigned by Skills & Abilities: Prior experience teaching in this area preferred. Ability to implement a safe purposeful classroom environment that prioritizes learning for all students. Ability to collaborate with other teachers instructional leaders and partners to ensure instruction is meeting the needs of all & Requirements: Massachusetts Teacher Certification in appropriate area. Proficient in English.
