An opportunity is available for an experienced Safety Data Sheet (SDS) Coordinator to join a well-established organisation operating within a complex manufacturing and chemical environment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring Safety Data Sheets are accurate compliant and aligned with Australian New Zealand and international regulatory requirements.
Working closely with the HSE team and key internal and external stakeholders you will support regulatory compliance and contribute to the organisations broader health safety and environmental initiatives across ANZ.
Develop review maintain and distribute Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in line with GHS OSHA REACH WHMIS and relevant local regulations
Ensure SDS content remains current with evolving regulatory and safety requirements
Coordinate SDS updates following changes to product formulations or legislation
Liaise with regulatory authorities and prepare SDS submissions as required
Collaborate with internal teams including HSE R&D manufacturing quality legal and product management to gather technical data
Maintain a centralised SDS database and monitor review and expiry timelines
Support audits inspections and compliance activities
Provide guidance and training to employees and contractors on SDS interpretation handling storage and disposal of hazardous materials
Respond to internal and external SDS-related enquiries including customer and supplier requests
To be successful in this role you will bring:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (particularly Word and Excel)
Experience in a complex manufacturing chemical or heavy industry environment
Proven experience working with regulatory bodies and compliance documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills
The ability to manage and influence diverse technical and subject matter experts
A proactive detail-oriented approach with strong problem-solving skills
Desirable experience:
Exposure to agricultural or chemical manufacturing environments
Experience with process safety management or major hazard facilities
Familiarity with international chemical safety and labelling frameworks
