Job Summary

Our Microsoft Cloud Data & AI team helps organisations turn complex technology investments into measurable business outcomes. We bring together deep Microsoft platform expertise with industry insight to design and deliver scalable cloud data and AI solutions - from strategy through to production.  We often work in collaboration with our other specialist teams in Dynamics Finance and Operations Security and Cyber. The team is in an exciting growth phase and this role is central to how we scale delivery deepen client relationships and build market-leading capability.

Your Opportunity

As the Microsoft Cloud and Data Director you will lead a portfolio of Microsoft business development and delivery engagements across Cloud Data and AI. You will be accountable for solution strategy delivery excellence commercial performance and team leadership while playing a front-line role in business development and sales.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Define and execute portfolio strategy across Azure Cloud Data and AI aligned to client priorities and growth targets aligned to 1-2 priority sectors.
  • Lead opportunity shaping solutioning and presales - including client workshops estimation and proposal development.
  • Oversee multi-squad delivery ensuring scope quality timelines budget and risk are managed to plan.
  • Build and maintain executive relationships with clients Microsoft and key partners driving co-sell and market momentum.
  • Set delivery standards for architecture engineering security FinOps and governance and drive continuous improvement across the practice.
  • Own commercial performance for your portfolio including pipeline generation revenue utilisation and margin with accountability for meeting annual targets.
  • Develop coach and retain a high-performing team of architects engineers and managers including succession planning and capability uplift.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and steering committee leadership with clear issue escalation and outcome-based narratives.

Your Experience

  • Highly experienced in delivering Microsoft Cloud Data and AI solutions with a proven track record leading complex multiworkstream programs.
  • Proven track record in presales and sales including shaping solutions pricing SOWs and closing deals.
  • Demonstrated leadership of architects engineers and delivery managers in Agile environments.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience managing portfolio-level revenue pipeline and utilisation targets.
  • Deep expertise in several of the following domains with working knowledge across the rest:
    • Cloud Platform - Azure landing zones networking identity security governance cost management and FinOps.
    • Data Platform - Azure Data Lakehouse Microsoft Fabric Synapse Databricks on Azure Data Factory Event Hub SQL Database Cosmos DB Purview.
    • Analytics & AI - Power BI MLOps and LLMOps Foundry Azure AI Services Azure OpenAI Service Azure AI Search.
    • M365 co-pilot Team Sharepoint and leveraging it as a collaboration capability with other Microsoft services
  • Strong understanding of integration and event-driven patterns SDLC and DevSecOps NFRs resilience performance and observability.
  • Experience managing Microsoft partnerships including co-sell motions marketplace incentives and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent industry experience.
  • Microsoft certifications across Azure Architecture Data or AI. Additional certification in security or FinOps is advantageous.
  • Strong communication stakeholder engagement and problem solving skills.
