Job Overview
Land Republic is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Legal & Compliance Associate to support its real estate and land development operations. The role involves managing legal documentation conducting land and title due diligence ensuring compliance with applicable real estate and regulatory laws and supporting the companys risk management and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
Legal Responsibilities
Draft review and vet legal documents including sale agreements deeds of assignment lease agreements MoUs NDAs and powers of attorney.
Conduct legal due diligence on land and property transactions including title searches and verification of ownership documents.
Assist in land acquisition sale leasing and development transactions from a legal perspective.
Support dispute resolution notices claims and litigation matters in collaboration with external counsel.
Compliance Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with applicable real estate land zoning and regulatory laws.
Monitor statutory requirements including registrations permits approvals and renewals.
Support compliance with industry-specific regulations and internal policies.
Maintain and update compliance checklists trackers and reports.
Coordination & Administration
Liaise with external lawyers consultants regulatory bodies and government authorities.
Work closely with internal teams such as sales operations finance and project management.
Maintain organized legal files contracts and property documentation (physical and digital).
Prepare periodic legal and compliance reports for management review.
Requirements
Requirements
Bachelors degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
04 years of experience in legal and/or compliance roles; real estate or land-related experience is an advantage.
Knowledge of real estate land and property laws.
Skills & Competencies
Strong legal drafting and documentation skills.
High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Professional judgment and confidentiality.
