Group Lead - PWR3 Heat Exchangers and Miscellaneous Vessels

The Vessel & Installations Design commodity has recently expanded & formed a new Heat Exchanger and Miscellaneous Vessels group to address the increasing demands from across the business.

The group is responsible for defining the design intent and delivering the safety cases for Dreadnought & SSNA steam generator CTS heat exchangers plus other pressure vessels within the CTS CMU and VOWS NSRP primary systems.

What you will be doing:

As the Group Lead you will be responsible for:

• Ensuring product & personnel safety is always put first.
• Striking right balance of Quality Cost & Delivery for the customers/projects the group supports by ensuring processes are followed and appropriate governance enacted.
• Setting the strategy and implementation of developing of the Nuclear SQEP for the group currently comprising 9 FTEs plus graduates and apprentices on placement.
• Delivering on the business strategic goals objectives and performance metrics.

Position Qualifications:

• Working knowledge of one or more products within the scope of Vessels and Installations.
• Strong cross-functional network including but not limited to the RR Barrow site office PCO/supply chain manufacture stress analysis teams and materials chemistry & corrosion.
• Experience of design development process/tools and new product introduction into the manufacture areas of RRSL.
• Has experience in leading people or teams in challenging environments.
• Sentencing of product non-conformance.
• Proven ability of managing customer demands and fluctuating emergent workload against resource constraints and the ongoing activities essential for maintaining product safety.
