TM3 Load Haulage Dumper Operator

The LHD operator is responsible for operating a mobile mechanized LHD underground to move blasted ore within the required mining and safety standards.

Roles and responsibilities include the following:

• Adhere to safe work procedures.
• Comply with company standards and regulations w.r.t. PPE.
• Comply with the mines traffic management plan
• Report all incidents or near incidents.
• Participate in SHE related campaigns and initiatives
• Obtain daily planned schedules and work instructions from TMM Miner.
• Two-way communication with the team.
• Prepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements to complete tasks.
• Conduct pre-operational checklist on the LHD as prescribed in the lesson plans.
• Conduct basic maintenance activities on the LHD as per lesson plan
• Ensure that the correct tools are used to complete tasks.
• Test brakes on the ramp.
• Conduct entry examination with TMM Miner as required per Mine Standard and procedure
• Participate in conducting risk assessments.
• Preparing the workplace
• Remove obstacles
• Effective LHD loading operation to achieve targets within set quality standard
• Brake testing daily pre-use (legal requirement)
• Breakdown reporting procedures
• Diagnose the breakdown escalate if required

This role is on a B7 level reporting to the Mine Overseer Production

Qualifications :

• Grade 12
• TMM LP LHD Operator License
• Psychometric classification to the specific machine

Experience

• Advantageous - Previous working experience in a mechanized mining environment

Knowledge and Skills

• Declared competent to use TMM LP LHD
• TMM LP LHD Operator License
• Training Competency per the specific occupation Training Matrix
• Psychometric classification to the specific machine
• Previous licensed as TMM LP LHD with experience
